In Christian circles, pornography is a very hush-hush subject. It is not something that would offer conversational subject matter with enthusiasm. For most people, it can be quite addictive, and sensually exciting which attracts many people, Christians or non Christians, to entertain it and sometimes even allow it to take over their lives. But why and what is the appeal? For many it is erotic and stimulates the senses in a lustful way which really appeals to the flesh. Scientifically the visual stimulation releases the same hormones in the brain which excite people when having sex.

So why is this supposed to be wrong? Based on many scriptures in God’s Word, one can clearly and undoubtedly deduct that this is not something pleasing to the Lord and to be embraced by a Christian in any measure, and therefore, people who battle with this tend to not want to discuss it, or admit that it may be a problem. Instead, owing to the fact that it can become an addiction, they secretly continue in this, but walk with guilt and condemnation that holds them back in their growth and intimacy with the Lord.

Pornography seems to be a love-hate relationship for Christians who entertain it. They love watching it because it is sensual and addictive, but hate the fact that it is wrong, which causes great conflict in a person’s life, who longs to love God as they should. Anything that God sees as sin, that we persistently or consistently pursue, even mentally, separates us from Him in our relationship with Him regarding intimacy and wanting to turn our hearts towards Him in sweet surrender and love. The unfortunate fact is that over time, one grows colder and more distant to the things God loves even if unintentionally, and one withdraws him/herself from being used effectively by God in many areas, as this begins to become a stronghold. His voice becomes harder and harder to hear. God does not accept or cohabitate with sin. The subtle downward spiral is not always easily detected especially by the person engaged in this, and one tries to reason with him or herself as to why it is not that bad to partake in viewing etc. When one is gradually conditioned to get used to it, and become more desensitised to more extreme forms of it, there grows a desire for more, and what was originally quite shocking and distasteful, becomes acceptable and normal, where one ends up in a place looking for more and more of it, consumed mentally by it.

Again, the question is, why if you look in God’s Word, would pornography be wrong? Let us go to the scriptures to establish a basis from where to continue this subject:

Before we do that, understanding the basis from where pornography is established is an abomination before God. Pornography involves various people married or unmarried in adulterous sexual relationships or single people, fornicating openly. This is contrary to the marriage covenant that God has set in place and defiles the act of sex which God created and originated to be pure and enjoyable between a married man and his wife. Any sexual act of two or more partners outside of a single married man and his wife will be either adultery, fornication or sodomy.

Here are many scriptures that one can use to determine God’s will in this and His plan for your life.

Heb 13:4 Marriage is honourable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

1Co 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,

1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God

Galatians 5:16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

1 John 2:16 For everything in the world–the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does–comes not from the Father but from the world.

Romans 6 11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. 14For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.

Romans 13 vs 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh

Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” To walk after the Spirit is to walk under the authority and under the obedience of the Word. If you walk contrary to the Word you are walking according to the fleshly mind and that brings condemnation because you are in disobedience to the Word. Therefore, it continues, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” When you walk in the fleshly mind, you will make wrong decisions that lead to sin and sin leads to death.

Colossians 3 1Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

Luke 9:23 “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

Galatians 5:24-25 “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Romans 12 1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

2 Corinthians 10 3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 6 And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

Romans 8 5 Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind of sinful mane is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

9You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

12 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14 because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba,h Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

1 John 2 15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

2 Corinthians 6:17 “Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”

Ephesians 5: 11 — And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

II Corinthians 6: 14 – Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion has light with darkness?

Rom 6:21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

Romans 13: 12 — The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

So in light of what God clearly says in His Word, if you are involved in any way and/addicted to pornography, where to from here?

Unfortunately, sometimes the hard truth will not even convince some people. You will need to be at a place where your love for Jesus is far greater than your love to please yourself.

For some people, they desperately want to give it up but just think that they can’t. Maybe you have tried a few times and made endless promises to yourself or even to God. However, forget about the past now. If you are serious in laying this down before God, there are different prayers you can pray in regards to deliverance from it/ confessing that you will no longer partake in it on any level whatsoever. This is a decision that you will not be able to take lightly if you want to truly be free of this and will require a 100% conviction as this will not be something to be laid down causally. It may be something that you may potentially always struggle with should you not be sensitive to God. With it being a problem for you is not sin in itself. It is the engaging in that sin that makes it sin.

As for some ex-alcoholics, just one small drink will overcome their resistance and they will get themselves into serious trouble leading to a drunken stupor eventually. Just because it is a stumbling block does not mean it is sin. Partaking can be sin for those without control purely based on the fact that any form of participation will lead to sin for some. Unlike liquor though, pornography is not permissible for anyone who loves God on any level whatsoever. So for pornography, absolute and utter abstinence will ensure victory and put one on the road to healing and getting a renewed mind as one allows God to work in their hearts. Continual renewing of the mind is required through God’s Word coupled with absolute and uncompromising abstinence.

http://www.prayerwatch.co.za/downloads/1200567414_37_-_how_to_pray_for_deliverance_from_addiction.pdf

Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

No one can say that they are just too weak and that there is no way out of the problem. God’s Word says:

1Co 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

New International Version (NIV)

13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

1Pe5:8 “Satan walks about like a roaring lion seeking to devour someone”.

Satan cannot force your will or make you do something. God has given each of us a free will to either chose life or death.

Simply do not put yourself in a position to be able to be tempted and if you are, turn from it immediately. Do not entertain anything that opposes the knowledge and truth of God, and you will be victorious.

For men, fall in love with your wife again. Learn to cherish and adore her and let God renew your mind in the way you see things sexually and the way you see your wife. God can radically bring restoration to the sexual side of your marriage if you let Him. Remember, this was His idea in the first place. It is God’s will that a husband and wife enjoy each other’s union in purity and real love.

For anyone suffering from this, I pray that you will find a new hope, and a new desire to love the things that God loves and to draw from Him everything you need. He knows your battles and struggles. Be honest with Him and lay your heart before Him. Repent and let the Holy Spirit minister to you and give you a new strength and a new dream for your future. You do not need to battle with this any longer. God will always be your stronghold and your shield, a refuge in times of trouble if you allow Him to. He loves you passionately and only wants the best for you. He is the Healer and Restorer and He is calling you by name.

The following blog is based on my conviction and what I have learnt of God and His Word.

God is reflected in His creation in a limited sense, and does not infuse creation so that the universe becomes divine where God is in everything and controls everything. God remains distinct from His creation. There is so much in creation that clearly does not reflect God. Creation is not only finite, but fallen and is not what is was before, and is not fully what God originally created it to be.

After the fall, God not only cursed the serpent, Adam, and Eve, but the ground too. It is legitimate therefore to assume that the destructive elements of natural world are post fall phenomena. How can these be a reflection of God? It is the thief who comes to kill, steal and destroy. Nature now is not only a blessing, but also a threat.

We do believe that God’s will is ultimately supreme and that He holds everything in His hands, but one very important thing that must not be overlooked and fully understood is that God’s will is to give us as man, free will.

God has given us His children, authority of Satan, but when He returns all will be perfected, but until such time, He has entrusted to us the ability to choose. He gave us free will as man and the ability to choose, and so in that, He will not override our will. For e.g.: If someone gets raped, it was not God’s will that they get raped. If someone chooses to rape someone else, the free will of that person in a fallen world causing the action would be contrary to God’s will, and we know that Christians are not exempt from ever getting raped, but He has the power to turn that devastation into something beautiful. The child could for instance grow up to change many lives for the good and bring great joy to the mother, should she allow God to work in that situation for the good. To council a Christian lady who has been raped by telling her it was God’s will, would insinuate God’s judgement and punishment on her and implicate it for something she must have done wrong. We know it would be insane to think that. How could a loving Father originate and enforce such destruction on His children? He has not come to destroy one’s life and future, but to bring beauty and a hope. Jeremiah 29 vs 12: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. AND John 10 vs 10 -The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

There are various origins for various situations/effects, beliefs and manifestations in the world. Some are situational, some are spiritual/passed on spiritually, some are genetically inherited, some come from curses, and some come from natural causes, and there are more. For eg: One person might have gotten cancer as it is strongly inherited through their family in the genes, and someone else may have gotten cancer through exposure to certain chemicals and poisons over time. Similar problem, different source.

Another controversial subject is homosexuality and lesbianism. Could it be God’s will that someone was born with these traits or preferences? Could it not be that situational and spiritual influences may have caused it? Why would God judge something that He created according to His will? Ie” Make someone homosexual and then judge them for being what He created them to be? Of course not. 1 Cor 6 vs 9: Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders. I personally do not believe that homosexuality is genetically inherited, but something that has developed though situations and choices people have made.

We know that it is God’s will that all are to be healed, but still, not all are healed… His blood shed has covered all sin, not just some sin; the stripes He bore covered and made payment for all illnesses and sicknesses, not just some. We know this from Isaiah vs. 4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. God can’t be good and evil. He can’t make someone sick to heal them. This is completely contrary to His nature. It is never God’s will for anyone to be sick.

If Jesus raised people from the dead, why would He have done that if God the Father had killed them in the first place? It could be that Jesus raised people from the dead because it was not the Father’s will for them to die prematurely when he has allotted a certain amount of years to man and had a plan and purpose for them as he does for every individual which was not yet fulfilled. People are still being raised from the dead even today, but we will not detract from the point. Matthew 12 vs 25 “And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand”.

We can conclude that the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit are not divided in any way, but are in perfect unity and will. Jesus said that He has come to do the will of His Father…

I am going to briefly touch on providence which is seen in three areas: preservation, government, and supernatural intervention. We can focus on government: God controls/governs the affairs of men and human history upholding his moral law and providing for, and directing individuals and nations - Acts 14 vs 15-17, 17 vs 26, 4 vs 28 But this government, this control, is not total/obsolete. If we say that God’s providence means absolute control of human affairs, then we have to say that everything that happens is God’s will, ordained/predestined by Him before the creation of the world, which means that He would have created man, deciding that some people are not allowed to get saved, But John 3 vs 16 says For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him, will not perish, but have everlasting life. Human history (if predestined by God in this way) would be acting out a rigid blue print I.e.: it is to make God out to be a monster, a demon and the author of evil. Quite obviously this is not true and so then not everything that happens is God’s will. Much of what happens is man’s will (his fallen will) or Satan’s will, or the effect of fallen creation. This is because in creating man and giving him dominion over the earth (dominion which man subsequently shared with Satan), God gave man the power to really affect history, to make decisions which would affect his circumstances and his future. So history is not simply the acting out of a blue print laid down by God before the creation of the world, but something that in a real (although ultimately limited) way man is creating as he goes along.

There are also natural factors that come into play with unfortunate circumstance like a miscarriage where there is a chromosomal problems and various other problems. With the increase of preservatives, colorants, poisons, toxins, unhelpful things injested which cause sickness, even stress, natural accidents, simple imperfection in a fallen world unfortunate effects result etc. We do not live in a perfect world and there are so many variables and factors that could affect the health and growth of a child in the womb. There is no conclusive and single answer to explain a miscarriage. It is not ever God’s will to kill a baby or end the life as that is contrary to His character. Psalm 139 says: 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, Oh God! How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you. We do not need to walk in fear, but can commit everything to God as He can change anything, restore anything, and turn any situation out for the good to us who love Him and are called according to His purposes. Romans 8 vs 28: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

So what IS God’s will for our lives?

God will for our life is not complicated, but actually straight forward. The scripture continually instructs and guides us, cautions us and warns us of various things that are very clear. The will of God is for you to obey His Word and accept His council and wisdom that can only produce life. Beyond that is to find out what your spiritual gifts are as we have all been given different gifts, and they come without repentance so it is not something earned. Romans 11 vs 29 ‘For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance’. In order to walk in God’s will, it simply is to know Him and know His Word, and understand what gifts you have been given… to walk in them and find satisfaction in being who you were created to be. Man is ultimately satisfied when God is glorified in his life. We are ultimately happy when we know what our purpose and calling is, operating in the power of God as we walk in love and unity with Him. God’s will for us is that we walk by faith Hebrews 11 vs 6 ‘And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him’

To sum up with a simple conclusion (This however is a vast subject and realise that the following will not do true justice to it): 1 Find out what God’s Word says and follow Him as this will bring life to you 2. Walk by faith in believing what He says 3. Find out what you spiritual gifts are so that you can operate it them and make a difference to the world around you. 4. Very importantly, listen to the Holy Spirit who guides and leads you as He will never lead you into the wrong decision ie: Learn, understand, walk by faith and listen. John 14 vs 26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

We have a choice:

Deuteronomy 30 vs 15: 14No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.15 See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. 16 For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

God does not control our choices. Why would he say ‘choose’ if we were not able to? His will is to give us the freedom to choose, and in that know that not everything that happens to us is God’s will as we have fortunately and unfortunately been given the freedom to make our very own decisions. All of us know the continual problems this freedom has created. Hopefully some will stop blaming God for all the misfortunes they face in life. When we can learn that God is loving and strong, kind and compassionate, abounding in grace and mercy, we can come to Him as a Father and let Him in.

The new song is titled ‘Unborn’
After some very sad news: Last week, for our 12 week scan, (end of Feb 2012), the gynie told us that our little one did not make it. Growth apparently had already stopped at 9 weeks. We were really quite devastated and disappointed, but we are OK and have accepted it. This situation inspired me to write a song about it titled ‘Unborn’. I dedicate this song to all the moms who have gone through a similar experience. Understanding that our heavenly Father is so good and merciful as well as understanding that we do live in a fallen world where Jesus has not yet returned to restore and perfect it, these things do happen, even though God is ultimately in control. Having the understanding that in Rom 8 vs 28 it says that all things work together for the good to those who love God and are called according to His purposes, means that whatever can happen to us in this life, because God is all loving and all powerful, He has the ability to turn anything out for His glory and for our good. Our finite minds cannot understand this and we often want to rationalise with human logic, but God operates on a level so supernatural and beyond our understanding, that we would walk in error to think that He is weak and as ill intent towards us. When I look back on my life and think of all the disappointments, the injustices and missed opportunities, God has always been able to show me how powerful and how true He is to Himself in being able to bring life to dead places, healing to hopeless and has always set me up for victory, no matter what I have been through. This is what I stand on, and God is eternally faithful. The happenings in our fallen world will often be ‘chaotic’ – because God is not yet ‘all in all’. 1 Corinthians 15:28- When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. Not everything that happens to us is God’s will and we need to know this, BUT He can turn anything out for our good because again, He is all powerful and we are His children who love Him. There is so much in creation that does not reflect God. Creation is not only finite, but also fallen. After the fall of man, sin, disease and destruction entered the world where the God given authority we once possessed was handed over to Satan in being subject to him by obeying him (Adam and Eve). We must locate the origin of natural and man-made disasters to the right place, and not blame God by abdicating responsibility for these things to Him, when again it is simply the effect of a fallen world.
I pray that this song will minister to you if you are able to relate to this, and know that the death of an unborn child, in my opinion, is not the end of that life. We have life that is so far beyond what we know and superior to this life here on earth, and true life begins at the Father. I feel I will meet my little one one day, who is now experiencing true life, living in the Father’s presence.

Psalm 139 vs 13 – 18

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.
In all circumstances, God is always worthy to be praised!

For a brief overview of the soaking songs:

The soaking songs from TriUne Echo are about roughly 10 min long and used for devotional/ministry times.

For a bit of background to the new soaking song titled ‘Deliverance’

I have experienced deliverance in my own personal life more than 10 yrs back, and after often encountering people who seem to think that Satan has more power than he really does, the Lord reminded me of His greatness and supremacy. As a Christian, through Jesus Christ we have authority over Satan as God’s Word says in

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. There are many more Scriptures that confirm the promises of this beautiful thing that can has given and entrusted to us.

Unfortunately many Christians give Satan more thought, than God honour, and tend to be paranoid, watching their backs, thinking they are always under attack, so much so, that there is more emphasis put on spiritual warfare than emphasis placed on worshiping and honouring and celebrating God with a joyous and peaceful lifestyle. Do not get me wrong, I am not against spiritual warfare, but many Christians have a great imbalance in their lives when it comes to this.

The Kingdom of God is righteous, joy and peace in the Holy Spirit. If a Christian is not experiencing righteous but sin and oppression, not experiencing joy, but fear and paranoia, not experiencing peace, but continual striving, a battling to hear God’s voice and over emphasis of good works in compensation to this, the sad reality is the one in this sort of situation is not experiencing the Kingdom of God in their lives.

I battled with various eating disorders, from one extreme to the next, many years ago and after many people praying for me, counselling, reading numerous books, praying like crazy to be free of it, nothing worked. No man could help me, and no man’s advice seemed to change my life. It was a huge stronghold, so bad that it felt like my own will had been taken over by something. After pursuing God for months on end, I eventually said, God if you don’t deliver me from this, I would rather die. After many failing attempts to fast, I finally gave up and fasted until He delivered me. It only took 11 days of a purely water fast, and he miraculously delivered me in totality. This is when I realised, God you are my rescuer, no man can do what you can.

In the song I have written ‘You hold the keys of life, unlock my heart to respond, you are my truth, Jesus.

I thought I would never get free of this thing or get deliverance after battling this for 2 yrs, nothing, absolutely nothing helping. But God has all authority over all principalities and powers of darkness, and when coming under submission to His Rule and reign, one will find deliverance. It is a case a yielding one’s will to His. He is faithful to show you how to do this when you wait on Him and never let Him go.

Jas 4:6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Jas 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

As children of God we are Heirs and co-Heirs with Christ and He has given us all authority over powers of darkness because of our great inheritance.

When we are in right standing with God and understand our authority it can be effectively exercised.

John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

This Scriptures does not warn us to fear what the devil might do, but tells us of his character. With that it contrasts the character of God to in a sense say BUT, take note… I have come that they may have life…

In the song is says: Lord take control of my life, every part, there’s no place, you cannot reach lead me to freedom, it’s your gift. And that is the mystery and beauty of God’s grace. His perfect and uncompromising will is to give every man life and life abundantly – to take us into freedom. It is not His will or nature to punish cruelly, cause anguish with destruction and neglect. That is the nature and character of Satan. Many people do not realise how perfectly loving, merciful and gracious our Father is, and so they live in fear rather than freedom. We are victorious in God, not victims to Satan! Satan can only do what you give him permission for.

1Jn 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

I hope this song can speak to some people who battle with understanding the love and power of God, and I hope there can be a greater realisation for some that God wants you to walk in absolute freedom. God is always in a good mood, and is always standing with arms wide open, waiting for you. If you have a stronghold in your life or feel entrapped in any way, start worshiping God and surrendering. Stop focusing on what you think you are not and let God minister to you.

Colossians 1:15-20

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

1 Corinthians 15: 57 But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lyrics for Deliverance:

I’ve met the Deliver… God, hailed the Awesome, the Mighty

I’ve touched the Healer, God hailed the Merciful, God of love

I walk with the Saviour, God my life and salvation, Je-sus

God, my rescuer… No man can do what you can

You hold the keys of life. Unlock my heart to respond, You are my truth , Jesus

Lord take control of my life, every part

There’s no place You cannot reach

Lead me to freedom, it’s Your gift

Come Holy Spirit

You have no battle wounds

Nothing can withstand Your power

Your mastery over my life is more powerful than the darkness

You’re my Redeemer, my Restorer of hope

All hail the King, the King of Kings, Jesus Christ the Lord

Jesus

You hold all authority

Fear is gone

You’ve conquered sin and death

Hallelujah

How I love You

God of grace, You’re my light

The darkness flees at Your name

I’m free to receive

I wait at Your feet, Jesus

I wait at Your feet, I wait at Your feet.

Please note that not all the songs on the album are downloadable. Some of the music is from our first album Extraordinary God. We are also planning to bring out a CD which will be a full quality version of the soaking music you can currently download. These soaking worship songs will be the final mixes and will be professionally mastered. We will make this available at a nominal cost.

The songs:You are all I need;Shout;Prayer;Extraordinary God;Jesus set me free;Be Thou my vision;Satisfied;Your glory shines; Psalm Song and Adoration are from our album – Extraordinary God

How great Though art is a preview of one of the songs of our new Hymn CD that would probably be released in 2012. We’ve been working on this album for a very long time as it required a huge amount of arrangement. Vocally Yvette grew over the time of the album that we retook many of the vocals a few times. We are now at a 99% done stage, and the album needs to go in for mastering.

This is what Paul said in Romans 15 :18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things twhich Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient—19 in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

He says there obedient in MIGHTY SIGNS AND WONDERS in verse 19, and in verse 18 he speaks about word and deed. In other words that our word should never be without deed. We should not try to teach things we are not walking in. We should seek God eagerly for the gifts so that we can walk in what He has for us.

We are called all of us, to make a change. We serve an Almighty Father who has given us everything. He wants us to enjoy life. He wants us to help others, to bring a change in a fallen world.

Many times we sit with decisions. We make plans set goals, and then ask God for guidance. We take our future into our own hands, and then try to twist God’s arm to bless it. Sometimes we even take credit for our victories.

We need to hear God’s heartbeat. We need to hear what the Father says about the matter at hand. We need to hear what the Father says about our future, and what to we need to do. The fact is we need to HEAR.

Rom 10:17 – faith comes by hearing. Its an activity from our side. Abraham kept listening and didn’t kill his son although God initially asked him to offer him up. What would have happened if he didn’t keep on listening?

Many times we have acts to prove our faith but at best it could prove our hope. As faith is only through surrender to God’s will, not a forceful activity from our side. Faith comes by hearing.

Somehow we always end up with good intentions, but good intentions by itself means nothing. You can have good intentions about setting goals for your future, but without knowing what God’s heart is on the matter it would be a futile exercise.

We need to surrender our lives to God, incline our ears to Him. Hear what He has to say about our future, about our plans, and goals. Then come in line with His will. He will empower His Word. Best place to be is to be in line with what God is doing.
